I am a UK native, born and raised by the sea in sunny Brighton (Hove, actually!). As a voracious reader and serial book-sniffer, my editorial instinct has been cultivated through my deep love of a comfy chair and well-stocked bookshelf, and a borderline obsessive relationship with my Kindle. While I have an academic background, I love books and prose of all kinds and am continually fascinated and delighted by language - to me, there's no more pleasing sight than words on a page. Working with writers and academics is a real privilege, and I take immense satisfaction from helping to tell stories and communicate messages and arguments in the most engaging and reader-friendly way.

I am a member of the Society for Proofreaders and Editors, and my qualifications include:
